Decanted and observed for about 2-3 hours. On the nose, very strange aromas of a little funk with some fruity pebble vibes. Very, very strange nose. But, thankfully, the taste was not reminiscent of the smell. On the palate, there were flavors of cherries, cranberry, strawberry, and a hint of vanilla. I don't think I'd seek this one out again if given the opportunity.

Fairly light yet extracted quite the oxymoron. Upon opening one does get wafts of cherries and vanilla but upon tasting it’s quite refreshing. Not a delicate Burgundian pinot but also not a goopy typical California Pinot. It does have a sense of balance, only teetering on too much because of the vanilla and blackberry notes but thankfully that is countered by a good kick of acidity. For being as tense, I would definitely pin this on the lighter bodied side but with some heaviness on flavours. It’s not something I would plan on aging like their sparkling wines. I’d say 5 years max, with its best days already here. Was quite tasty with good ol’ combination pizza. Pretty easy to polish off a bottle for sure.

Cracked this one a bit earlier than usual due to stay at home orders! I found it to be outstanding. Complex cherry notes on the mouth, just explodes in flavor. Had another Davies single vineyard, same vintage that was tight with some tannins that could have used a few years to mature.

Pale ruby. Nose characterised by a sour cherry and cola sense. Quite some fresh acids, and a nice red cherry fruit intensity, and also obvious notes of caramel and chocolate that would have come from new American oak casks. Could see the thoughts and efforts put in this wine. Pretty good!
