  • I must admit - having never heard of this wine, I checked the cellartracker notes on this wine before ordering it at Herbsaint in New Orleans, although I'm usually a fan of all things Loire valley-related. I immediately realized how spot-on Karoline.Phillips was in her tasting note - Kudos!

I appreciated elderflower very prominently on the nose, as well as the pear and the smokiness. The body revealed juicy pear, and well-balanced acidity. The finish, in my opinion, was the highlight - super long with lingering minerality. Really enjoyed this one.

  • Smoke, apple/pear, herbaceous, box bush, flinty and mineraly notes on the nose. On the palate very concentrated - apple and elderflower, a bit of pith, more smoke. Med + acid, juicy long finish, saline at the end. Unique and rare!
