This was gorgeous tonight with an abundance of mouthwateringly acidic lemon, green orchard fruit, melon, floral undertones and a firm minerality at its core. The depth and concentration were noteworthy and the finish was long and satisfying. What a delight!

Bright and very pale yellow. lemon primary on nose, lemon confirmed on palate where white stone and some light floral notes raise the game. Body is med- and length is excellent and very pleasing start to finish. The acid is high but not piercing, diacetyl is negligible, producer website says 20% went on used oak for a period of aging, I understand based on tasting that this was done to give a chance for some microxygenation rather than with a purpose of imparting flavours. Delightful chardonnay.
Opened and poured from refrigerator but the second and third glasses were much better. As is so often the case, I can't confirm whether the wine improved from breathing or from coming up in temperature somewhat.
Paired with butternut squash ravioli in a sage brown butter. Excellent pairing, would've also done fantastic with a flaky white fish. Butter poached halibut. This bottle doesn't require the most delicate thing you can imagine.
Would absolutely buy this again.
