  Nose of green apple and white stone fruit with some nice floral touches. Palate of apricot, peach and citrus with a pleasantly mineral finish. A soft, lush Grüner compared to the sometimes very mineral Austrian stuff we're used to, but a fine and refreshing expression of the type.

  I like Tatomer's wines, and I give them a great deal of credit for trying a varietal that isn't typical in California. But this one misses the mark. Thin, doesn't seem to have any typical gruner veltiner characteristics--or any distinctive character at all, really.
