Young at 12 years, this is still quite a lot- peppery, spicy, oaky, loud and with big, grainy tannins. Ripe but not jammy, with sweet spice and vanilla, green pepper, violet, chocolate and sweet leather on the nose. The palate is a touch more subdued - maybe more balanced - the tannins are ripe but blocky and dominate proceedings.
