It’s got that geen funk that points you towards Italian yet still an edge that says it’s Aussie. It’s intense yet imbalanced and tanins make it a very big wine. Worthy revisiting it in a few years

Penfolds does Sangiovese! It tastes how you'd imagine... heavy with oak, but quality, hiding medium bodied cherries. Easily fools as a medium bodied shiraz from the Barossa with all the Penfolds hallmarks.
