El Llano was the first Mi Sueno wine I tasted back in 2014. We were visiting Napa and the sommelier recommended El Llano. I believe it was a 2012. It remains one of my favorite although I do believe the 2012 and 2013 were more complex. In all its a refined blend and love to pop and pour. Lots of skins in the sediment, I believe is a sign of good wine. There is a nice structure with a medium finish. Dark fruits, some pepper with a nose of currants. I'm not sure how long I would hold this vintage. I have several bottles remaining and will likely consume this year (2023).

Actually very good for the price and a nice surprise (sub $40). Ripe dark fruit, cassis liqueur, cherry cordial, vanilla, and some exposed wood. Certainly poundable but better with a few years. I would have guessed this was a 15 or 16 given the intensity.
