Finally starting to open up. Chocolate, smoldering coals, orange, bell pepper, gravel, and currants/cherries on the nose. Complex, dense fruit with savory notes. Still a bit ambiguous as a BDX blend. Only a short decant is needed. Enough tannin and freshness to improve for another 3 to 6 years. The more moderate growing degree days of the Walla Walla AVA shows here.

Nice bottle. Initially on the nose there was that Reynvaan/ Cayuse Rocks District funk element which calmed down with some time in the glass. I enjoyed how the savory Rocks orange rind components melded with the subtle cab franc pyrazines and cab sauv. red currant flavors . After a couple hours the nose is showing violet florals and as others have already so well described : Here is a wine delivering a full textured spicy mid-palate, pleasure and complexity well beyond its modest price point.

Opened two bottles both of which were loaded with Brett. Typically I'm all about but this was so powerful I couldn't get any fruit off the wine. Would not recommend if this is producer driven and not a bad couple bottles
The Franc really showed last night--dark red fruits with menthol and tarragon underscored with a bit of Rocks funk. Good body and balance. Drinks well above its price.

Consistent with prior tasting note. Loved how the Rocks Funk showed so strongly on day 2! Drink now - 2027.
