Alaska cruise. Well-made I suppose, and certainly has the tannin and acidity to age futher, despite the New World plushness. I can't get past the fact that it is not at all evocative of Tuscany.

Opened and served without decanting 1 ½ hours before serving in Spiegelau Bordeaux style glasses. Slightly dusty plum color in the glass. Aromas of plum, cherry and strawberry. Earthy and mineral notes with an underlying raspberry and strawberry layer finishing with just a hint of mint. Fairly well balanced over soft tannins. 88 points. Drink now: no reason to sit on this one. Fair amount of sediment in the bottle. May want to decant.
