  • As usual the Daphne is lovely; young for sure; high toned red fruit with cranberry, raspberry, red currant along with some blood orange; with air this develops a hint of iron/sanguine, some forest floor, violet, and just a whiff of spice. The palate is silky and elegant with lovely acidity, but also great intensity to the fruit. A bit bigger and with a touch of structure than some of the past, but still a wine of elegance and freshness. Still a baby at this point, but very good and will develop very nicely in the coming years.

  • Nose of smoke, earth and charcoal with a hint of pine and leaves. Smooth to drink, but lacks the complexity and finish. A very good Pinot Noir for the money.

  • High-pitched strawberries and floral notes on the nose. Sweet and tangy on the palate. Very nice. I taste light oak tannins in this wine. The web site says that only 1 in 25 barrels are new. Did they use a higher percentage in this cuvée?
