  This wine used to be our perfect everyday drinker, but we just drank our last bottle and cannot find more. It is good with just about any red friendly food and great on it's own. Of course it does not have the complexity of a good Burgundy, or the fresh fruit of a cali Pinot; but it does have just enough of everything to be satisfying, and complement food well. We drank it tonight with Butternut squash and mascarpone ravioli and it was spectacular. The nose is mineral, earthy, and subdued fruits. On the palate is mineral again, raspberry, some leather, and a bit of soft tannin. Definitely drink thsi wine NOW! Any more time in the bottle it could lose the delicate flavors it has. This is one of those rare find, great bargain wines. Sure there are better wines out there, but at 9.99??
