  A bit disappointed in this effort from Doug Margerum, whom I usually appreciate his winemaking chops. However, this Syrah and its restrained aromatics show a bit of spice, fennel, guava, and black tea with a touch of bacon fat. Medium tannins, tea, and spice with an awkward finish. Perhaps this needs time. Just one dimensional
