From magnum, a deep coloured wine with a good balance and a classic style and bitterness. The tannins are ripe and there is sufficiant fruit; a serious wine.

{cork} Garnet. Developing nose of soft ripe curranty aromas. Mainstream, but nicely fruity for a modest Bordeaux. The medium-bodied palate is a little leaner than the nose promises, with a generally low level of gritty tannins and blackberry/blackcurrant fruit which, although ripe, is rather thinly textured. Although there’s some presence on the mid-palate, the length is fairly short, and the tannins remain the residual impression on the finish. Ready to drink now. This must be a pretty grim effort in less ripe vintages…

taste: really bold attack of anise, cranberry, tobbacco, and raspberry
overall: great feel on the palate with a really good attack and nice finish. really well structured wine that should blossom in a few years. A big time QPR

Dark red, nice spice, good with red meat, but not long at all, quite flat. A disappointment for me.
