Snappy and sappy, fresh. It was fun to return to this wine (last drank in September 2020). The additional time in bottle was a net benefit, it probably is at peak now. A blend of Pineau d’Aunis (60%) with Pinot Noir (30%) and Cabernet Franc (10%) this is a fun weeknight quaffed. It would also work well as a patio pounder with a slight chilll for a spring gathering with appetizers and lighter item off the grill. Light red, slight purple hue in glass. First whiff is lightly crushed fresh red berries, almost a summertime brambly character; also light notes of cracked black pepper and warm spices lingering in the background. Palate is light to medium body and deliver on the snappy/sappy fresh red berry that you are expecting; more Beaujolais than Southern Rhône it is bright and fresh. Finsh is a short to medium finish, very soft tannins. We enjoyed over three nights (no gas) and it held up well; night two it was with a simple pasta dish with a red sauce tossed with garlic chicken sausage and the pairing worked very well. A modest 13% alcohol.

Similar to others' recent TNs. 70% Pineau d'Aunis, 20% Pinot Noir, 10% Cabernet Franc - a nice combo. Nice aromatics, violets, red berries, spicebox. Medium weight. Tannins are slightly bitter and drying, but do not distract and even add a bit of texture. Nice at the table. 13% abv. Good QPR at USD $15.

Bright fruit with peppery notes from the Pineau d'Aunis. Soft tannins. Excellent value. I wish that I had more of this.

Better on day two after opening: the darker cherry tones come out more, the Cabernet Franc slight spiciness is better integrated.

Consistent with first bottle, easy drinking, fresh, some nice zippy acid holds it together on palate. Decent QPR. Easy drinking mid-week quaffer.
