It has gotten better and more complex with a little age for Dolcetto. Fresh, lively and lithe on the palate. Medium acid and very soft, balanced tannins. Muted strawberry notes without being fruity. Excellent QPR.

A deep, bright purple-violet colour, the aromas are black cerise, violet and a touch iris, moving to freshly tilled soil. Fresh and lifted, there is blueberry, blackberry, liquorice and cold crushed rocks. A vibrant entry, there is a sour cherry sharp acid, mineral-edge texture and filled with crunchy frozen berries. Still enough fruit from softened Victoria plum and blue fruits to put some flesh on the bones even if the tannins is on the tighter side. Bright and approachable with no oak this is a delicious wine with the mineral and fruit giving plenty of joy even if it is relatively straightforward. Linear with an elongated finish.

The color is a dense ruby with violet reflections. The nose is bursting with black fruits such as blackberry, black cherry and black plum along with a hint of sweet spice and licorice. On the palate, the same black fruits and licorice come through. This is a well-balanced wine with medium- acidity, medium tannis and medium body.

This wine has opened well; I should refrain from drinking a few bottles that I have left for another couple of years, as a noble experiment
