Great example of the breed, balanced and delicious after a short decant; clean and classic with refreshing mineral and acidity, a pleasant finish and great pairing with smoked salmon appetetizers. Just the right balance of fruit, never cloying, bone dry and begging for another glass. Delicious. Some good potential for improvement with short-term ageing as well. Bridges the gap between New and Old World styles, and an amazing value.

Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc Tasting (Stellenbosch): (Tasted Blind) Pale yellow in colour with aromas of guava, pear, herbal and green mango undertones. The palate is intense on entry with a skin contact drippiness, greener fruits, herbal infused but segue to orange leaves and kumquat. It has fresh, balancing acidity, a touch of juiciness in the mid-palate and impressive length and weight. The finish is attractive as it is less bitter, more pithy finish but more towards dry chalk, mineral and saline. As it opened one sensed the taste of the soil is present and it show an almost Semillon terpene note.
