According to the vintner: from several parcels located within or immediately adjacent to Gevry-Chambertain. This had a very light garnet color with brick-red edges. The first two days were dominated by cedar wood with some musk and a grippy finish. On the third day there was generous, tart, cherry and cranberry. A classic style of red Burgundy that's drinking well now.
Day 1: smoked salmon and bagels Day 2: flank steak, squash, and salad Day 3: with curry and noodles

Further to my Note of Aug 6, '21: Decanted this time but not needed. Fruit more evident now on opening and enjoyable as a relatively flavorful everyday Bourg rouge. Expect it to hold well for another 1-2 years.

Medium ruby to deep garnet, raspberry, cherry, red currant, cola, with hints of strawberry, and earth on the nose, cherry, strawberry, and other mixed berries on the palate with mild tannins, and medium acidity, finishes with more ripe red fruit but with undertones of earth, spice and minerality
Note: had several bottles of this vintage, most are excellent to outstanding but a few have a little funk, it's a Burgundy at a price point that's worth the risk

Further to my Note of Feb 3 '21: this is #4. Decanted with minimal sediment. This is evolving but still took 24h for the fruit to be enjoyable. I won't hurry to try the next bottle.
Further to my Note of June 16, '20: This is #3. This is still reticent on Day 1 but better on Day 2 with more round cherry fruit emerging. This may need some time for best drinking on Day 1. With crazy Burg prices, this might be better value than I realize, but I'm sticking with notable.
