exquisite nose. Incense and alot of complicated whole bunch details. Palate is dried out and dead. None of the sweet cherry and strawberry that the other vintages show. What happened?

bright and red fruits on the nose, floral, youthful, complex. very balanced and smooth, soft tannin, raspberry on the palate, long finish...was thinking burgundy. delicious

A private dinner (Restaurant Zoldering, Amsterdam, NL): From a 1ha parcel at 1,000 metres a.s.l., chalk and quartz soils, 80 year old vines, southern exposure, whole cluster fermentation, 60 day maceration, aged for 16 months in 500 litre barrels, bottled unfined and unfiltered, with 1,725 bottles produced. Extremely pale colour, not much deeper than a rosado; fabulously fragrant nose, super refined, fresh and floral like a Riesling, spicy slate and orange blossom, rosehip, the pepperiness of kalamansi; the palate is light as a feather, seamless but with palpable minerality, fresh but intense, with firm but finely grained tannins; extremely long and delicately honeyed finish. A work of art.

Nice strawberry nose. Easy drinking. Alcohol slightly strong at the finish. Overall good. Ok to open now.
