  Really did not expect too much from this bottle as I only paid $13 for it - also as I am not a huge Merlot fan. What a surprise! Decanted it for approx 45 minutes before sampling. This wine has held up very well. Extremely smooth from start to finish. No harshness or bitterness at all. Still very fruity with intense cherry and plum flavoring. Extensive setiment which you would expect for a 14 year old Merlot. It complimented the Jack Daniels marinated pork chops well. May have to pick up another bottle or two if my merchant still has any - if you can find a bottle try it!
