Wine made to please old school Parker with lots of wood, dark fruits and bitter touches. Fortunately the acidity is present making this wine drinkable.

it is in its drinking window, "earth" and a punch of the Merlot at the end of the middle part, but this is borderline concerning Grand Cru Classé level, 88-89

Boxing Day wine ... from magnum, 4 hours in the decanter. Grand Cru Classé (though no longer I think). Good, not grand, though but, at the price, very good value.

This wine lost its Grand Cru Classé label but got it back after a court decision, for me the 2005 deserves the Classé label
