Given the recommendations by many people I follow I found this disappointing. No doubt it is excellent on the palate but it is too hard to overlook the lack of aroma.
Almost nothing on the nose. Some black cherry, black plum and vanilla.
In the mouth this wine is well-rounded with medium+ body, firm tannins, front of palate acidity and well integrated alcohol.
Flavours of cigar, ash, forest floor / earth, black cherry, clove and pepper.
I suspect this will be even better in a year or two.

First this wine was far more moderate and ready to drink than I expected. Yes there are a few tannic edges of oak but in general it is a soft and supple claret/chianti hybrid that was wonderful with the lamb and the ratatouille. As I said very much ready to drink now but I think 2-3 years in the cellar would add more.

Leathery, earthy smells, fruity almost pie-like flavour. Really, really enjoyed this bottle.
