  «Someone» just outed me as Norway’s biggest Blankbottle-fan. While contemplating a good comeback, I found this cerebral aerator in the wine cabinet. Open your mind is made from 100% Cab Sauvignon, and as Mr. Walser’s other wines; slightly different, but always stimulating. Ripe blackcurrants and boysenberry is balanced by red sour cherries, with liquorice, tobacco leaves and hints of cinnamon. Surprisingly acid-driven mouthfeel, with a lovely sour-sweet mouthwatering freshness, ensuring the ripe and juicy black berries never dominate. Well-integrated phenolic bitter components. Subtle and just slightly drying tannins. Finishes off with notes of mild baking spice and a bitter touch. Weird label, yes - but open your mind, will ya.
