Green apple, white peach, and lemon rind, with great acidity, an earthy minerality, and a medium, pineapple finish. Lively, balanced, distinctive. A memorable Paso Robles white.

The 2018 had an ethereal, mineral and lemon citrus character. This time around the Ugni Blanc shows a rounder and riper character of light peach and nectarine, but good acidity still piques the palate, and there is a twist of bitter lemon and quinine at the back end. Of the two, I prefer the brighter, zingy 2018 when sipping by itself. The 2019 is also a good sipper but some might prefer it with food. Drink now.

Red apples, lemon-lime, and pink grapefruit, with a zesty acidity and lingering pineapple-pear finish. An outstanding and distinctive Paso Robles white. For those on a never-ending side quest for interesting whites, wines like this Ugni Blanc make it all worthwhile.

Beautifully made in a slightly riper, tropical style. Wife and guests loved it. I prefer the leaner style of 2018. 90 wife, 89 me.
