Burg/Bordeaux Dinner with BYO Gang (The Kongsee): Pale ruby with a violet hue. Good balanced aromas of violets, twigs, cherry, and some caramel and cocoa on the nose. Also similarly rustic and earthy on the palate, with dried florals, as if potpourri, then some tart red cherry, redchrrant, and some brine, then even a little bit of seaweed. Quite lengthy, and really a complex wine. Such notes only showed after 5-6 hours of breathing, so it's really one that needs ageing, or lots of air

Musique & Vin Pre-Concert Dégustation (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Walk around tasting. Bright for 2018 red, even if slightly awkward in the middle today. Good breadth and length, better to cellar at least a few more years.
