Two out of seven bottles from Saratoga Wine corked. I'm not buying from them any more. And I am dubious about the contention that a TCA taint--or something like it--can come only from the cork itself. Can any CTer shed light on the question of how wine spoils? I know that entire cellars get tainted, but can anyone explain "the science?" Would much appreciate.

Another case of the wine tasting better on day 2. Day 1 only had one glass and it was brighter, more acidic and a tad light. I thought it was the merlot focus. But day 2 the wine is more balanced. Perhaps a bit too tannic on the 2nd day? Day 3, most of the fruit is gone and mostly alcohol. Noticed that it's 14.5%.
Probably would pass on another rourchase but would happily drink it at a party.

This is a plenty good bottle of Bordeaux, not famous, affordable, just plain good. I need more !!
