  Opened 1hr before to breathe. Structured and tight. Ruby hue powerful with brilliant light reflections.
  scented fragrance of blueberry and raspberry, underbrush and light scents of black pepper.
  The palate well balanced with a very pure style, hints of blue fruit, slightly spicy finish and nuanced.
  
  Still too tight. Will try again 23/5/21.
  
  The Gevrey Chambertin comes from his 1ha plot in Les Seuvrees, a village plot located next to Charmes Chambertin. A good step up from the Bourgogne rouge, grapes from lower sloped / flat plots gained good richness in 2018. 15% new oak. Refreshing red fruits with clean gevrey earthy tone and juicy cherry. Approachable and slightly rustic. Crunchy red berries on the finish.

  2018 Burgundy en primeur tastings (London): Tasted on two different occasions and very different. One bootle rather soft and the other one noted down as "good structure and balance". Almost new world type. Finish is rather persistent and really good. 89-91
