Still quite vibrant but starting to wane now, a little thin, the retreating fruit highlighting the strict structure in a way it did not before. It tasted a lot more alcoholic too.

This just gets better and better. Still a hint of tannins, but with wave after wave of blueberry, red cherry and slightly leathery cream, this is surprisingly good. Lestage has improved out of all proportion to the really clumsy wines of the past. Excellent QPR

Still a bit tannic but easily the best Lestage ever tasted, with big, brooding waves of cherry and blackcurrant, deep and long. The finale is a little clumsy but compared to the rustic wines of the past, this is a revelation and excellent value. My score is probably conservative.

Dark red, classy on the nose and a deep cherry and strong finish. Shows strong ness and complexity A great wine for that cost. Wish I would have bought more.
