This is not nearly as nice as the regular 21 year Isle of Jura bottle (which is more sherry-driven, seems unpeated and is just more decadent). This bottling is more smokey, less smooth and just more muted and congested vs. the other bottling which is so rich and sumptuous. Also, this doesn't feel so old or settled - a bit unbalanced.

Matured in ex-Bourbon barrels and finished in ex-peated malt casks, before being bottled at 47.2% abv. Smoky, soft peat as expected, smooth and mellow, light on the palate but with a lot of character. Very solid.
