Nose: smoke, graphite, cocoa, dark/black ripe fruit, dry dirt, dried leaves, peppery oak, sweet tobacco, very complex nose
Palette: high - acidity, tingly feeling on tongue, med + body, slight pepper, chocolate, hidden tannins, not great balance, black fruit, some graphite and smoke, med + finish
Overall: I enjoy the nose on this a lot but the mouthfeel is pretty bad to me. I get a strong tingling on my tongue which I don't enjoy and it almost makes me produce mucus with how off it is (but perhaps I am just off), it feels flat and unbalanced. the taste is ok. Not a big fan at all.

Method: 1.5 hr decant; served at 55 degrees; Cab glass
Look: deep purple; a lot of slow legs / med+ viscosity
Nose: tobacco, blackberry, dried leaves, graphite, pepper; a bit of sting from alcohol
Palate: tar, tobacco, unripe blackberry, dry herbs; med+/long- finish of leather, clay pot, and dried herbs, but most of the finish falls off after med- time; full- body; medium juicy and chewy tannins; high- (maybe med+) acid that stands out a bit too much / isn't integrated very well; a bit of heat (low or low+) and a bit of bitterness from alcohol on the finish
Overall thoughts: Good body, good earth flavors, and surprisingly good tannins/mouthfeel. However, this wine isn't well balanced with alcohol and acid standing out a bit too much. Enjoyable/good, but not great or anything special.
