Drank over several hours with my wine group. Received universal praise for it restraint while offering excellent dark fruit and minimal bite from the 16.1% alcohol. If you are looking for an over the top zinfandel then this is not it.

Stole a sip and felt it was tannic and so gave it a few hours in the decanter. Extremely light in color for a Zinfandel, more a ruby or garnet color. medium bodied. Nose was cherry, and root beer, then a high toned raspberry. Overall taste was an herbal, lightly steeped tea with red fruit. Silky texture, but some alcohol burn. Certainly not a bad wine, just confusing for a Howell Mountain Zin at 16% alcohol. Felt more old world in style and didn't live up to the price point.

Similar notes to 2022, a perfect laidback zinfandel. Only fault was a hint of alcohol at the end.

Big rich meaty spice filled Zin. Bet it lasts for a number of years

This one came out ready to roll. Fresh, lively and spicy. Drank with friends who asked for more info about winery. High on alcohol but was a winner.
