Guy Mousset's 2018 Côtes du Rhône is a deep ruby blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah that delivers an attractive package of red bramble fruits, blueberries, Provençal herbs, tobacco and Asian spices, Medium-bodied and with low-to-medium acidity, soft tannins, well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.5%) and minimal oak, it stays solid in the middle and concludes with medium length finish. This is a Côtes du Rhône with some serious stuffing! Drink now-2024.

Medium-minus acidity, medium tannin, medium body. Taste of strawberry, blackberries, and earthy-slight dirt. Between ruby to purple color, clear at edge definable. Slight petroleum jelly on the nose, jammy black fruit, and strawberry

Dark plum purple to the edge. Black fruit and spice on on a weak nose. Black berries and spice on a medium intensity palate. Finishes with some tobacco and soft tannins. Ok for a Tuesday night.

Nice wine, nice body paired well with a traditional New Years Day meal of black eyed peas and ham. Buy again.
