IMO this Cairanne is a cut above most others in the <€10 price range showing less heaviness (alcohol ONLY 14%) and more finesse and complexity. Dauvergne & Ranvier are a reliable source. Very good.

Medium (+) ruby red colour. Medium nose with roses, ripe black cherry and wild black pepper. Medium taste of ripe black cherry, roses, dried herbs and sweet licorice. Medium (+) long and dry finish. Medium (+) acidity. Light tannins. Full body. A very good Cairanne with a flowery touch. Drink now or over the next five years. Goes well with beef, duck, game or pork.
