  • Honey yellow in the glass. on the nose.. petrol and peach and honey.
full mouth feel with a bright finish. not quite crisp but close.
on the palate its texturally full and filling.. true dessert wine.
balanced with strong notes of Honey and ripe stone fruit. one of the things i thought about while drinking this was how good this would go on top of a bowl of vanilla bean ice cream and peaches. drink now or hold.. for another 15 years..

  • Very impressive for a domestic Riesling. Banana, pineapple, apricot, and yellow apple over a faint base note of minerality. It could use more acid to prevent it from feeling so heavy on the palate, but it’s not quite as sweet as I would expect given that it was labeled “dessert wine”—it tastes like it was picked at a Spätlese level ripeness. As it opens up, a sort of apple pie character comes out, which was unexpected. This is a spectacular pairing for spicy food at a great price. Will probably buy more.
