717/811: a quality aligote. Pale lemon green, with bright citrus and hint of herbs (and would you believe, sticky rice) on the nose. Body is medium. Rich and full for an aligote. The acidity is joyful and refreshing without being overwhelming. This wine needs lots of air and was persistent on day 2.

Quality stuff here. Changed a lot over 3 hrs of being opened but good at every stage. Always gave me the impression that this was a well made wine. Lime, buttery lightly roasted pune nuts. At first gave off a more buttery, glycerine texture but with air the acidity became increasingly prominent, countering this oily texture. Always a sense of tautness. Not lacking much for concentration, intense floral aromatics in the mouth. Light bit of minerality to the finish, creating medium length but focus was on entry and midpalate.

Surprising weight to this wine, without being heavy. It's lacking the secondary flavors to make this special, but that may just be that it's at a young awkward moment. Definitely quality.

Nose had the pear, peach, lemon citrus thing... but palate was round and full, with loads of fruit intensity. Medium acidity keeps the ripeness in check. Solid aligote, but so far not a huge fan of 2018 whites.

Really nice nose of sweet yellow fruits. Really nice matière , acidité and length. There is more sucrosity bc of the vintage.
