Yellow. Lactic, caramel nose. Medium weight, subtle pear fruit, excellent acidity, incredible creaminess for a Mercurey. A real eye opener for me as I had never heard of, much less tasted, this producer, and impressive shape for the year. What fun it would be to place this up against some Côte de Beaune big boys. A great recommendation from the French sommelier at Elkano. Perfect match for the justly famous turbot.

On commence avec un joli nez sur de fines touches exotiques tout en élégance. La bouche me déçoit en revanche beaucoup, si l'on y trouve de la puissance, on y trouve aussi une amertume désagréable en milieu de bouche. Je n'ai pas accroché

Pretty, quite reflective yellow-gold color. Tropical fruit explosion on the nose - papaya and pineapple dominate with guava and a little lemon as well. There is a slight bit of distracting effervescence on the finish. The tasting notes continued the tropical theme with pineapple and passion fruit notes. Diluted syrup texture. I am tempted to give more points based only on the fascinating bouquet.

too young still - full rich nose and closed bouquet, but opened up the following day. Give it time and you will be well rewarded.
