Maybe it's just over the hill, but this wine was flat, overly tart and out of balance. Serviceable to a palate that doesn't actively pursue wine, but not much else.

Popped and poured . . . an enjoyable wine right out of the starting gate. It's been in my cellar for a few year, so decided to open and see what it's up to. Flavors of cherry, tobacco and earth. Fairly tannic, yet easy to drink without food! Salud!

Artale Wine Company Benefit (Spring Creek Road): A very good merlot but a bit overpriced. Flavors were med +, not as complex as I would have hoped but nice.
