  • Left with few options on the decently lengthy yet massively uninspiring list at Cafe Chelsea in NY, this was the pick.

A bit ripe, but it is 2018 after all. Smells like Burgundy and tastes like Pinot, was drinkable (but better served chilled) and served its civic duty. No aspect was off putting (a surprise when you venture off and try basic bottlings from 3rd or 4th tier producers). Would I buy it? No, and would probably have a cocktail instead if given the choice, but by a narrow margin

  • Pretty garnet color, very even all the way to the edge of the glass. Expressive nose of blue, then red fruit and violets. Medium body with very little oak, light acidity and taut tannins on the finish. Pleasant but nothing special. Glad I only bought one bottle .
