Dark inky in color with a reddish rim. Showing a beautiful nose of black fruits, cedar, vanilla, licorice, spices and chocolates. Full bodied and elegant with medium acidity. Dry and very fruity on the palate with nice complexity. Showing black cherries, currants, cooked plums, cedar, tobacco leaf, light earth, herbs and peppercorn. Medium length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries. This 7 year old spicy Merlot from Yakima Valley, is very tasty now. Juicy, and drinks much younger than it actually is.Good right out of the bottle, and better after an hour of airtime. Will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.I paired with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses. 14.5% alcohol by volume.91 points. $25.
