  • The bottle doesn't mention the vintage, but I'm told this is 100% from 2017 vintage. Síria from Beira Interior, macerated 12 days with the skins. 13% alcohol.

Slightly hazy bronze color with a reddish core. Quite big and fragrant nose with open aromas of beeswax and resinous phenolic notes, some perfumed floral tones, a little bit of terracotta, light notes of dried exotic fruits and a hint of juicy stone fruits. The wine is dry, waxy and textural on the palate with medium-to-moderately full body and vibrant flavors of lemony citrus fruits, some floral spice, a little bit of phenolic resinous character, light fresh notes of white peach, an acetic hint of balsamic VA and a touch of leesy creaminess. The wine is pleasantly high in acidity with no tannins to speak of. The finish is long, tangy and quite complex with savory flavors of tangy salinity, leesy notes of cream, a little bit of perfumed floral character, light notes of bruised apple, a hint of resin and a touch of apple peel bitterness.

A very pleasantly floral and perfumed orange wine with pleasantly clean and fresh overall character. Perhaps a bit more tannic structure couldn't have hurt the wine, but it is pretty lovely as it is. It is hard to say how well this will continue to improve in a cellar, but it is drinking really nicely right now. A balanced and well-made skin-contact white. Nice, priced according to its quality at 25€.
