  A Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca) vinified as blanc de noirs. 11,5% alcohol.
  
  Pale, limpid lemon-yellow color with subtly greenish highlights. Youthful and rather primary nose of pear drops, some slivered almonds, a little bit of mealy red apple, light notes of hay and a hint of crunchy white fruit. The wine is light-to-medium-bodied, round and quite primary on the palate with flavors of sweet apple candy tones, some crunchy star fruit, a little bit of ripe white fruit, light notes of hay, a hint of pear drop and a subtle touch of peachy white fruit. Moderately high acidity. The finish is dry, round and quite long with soft acidity and mellow flavors of sweet golden apples, some ripe pear, a little bit of hay, light notes of white peach and a candied hint of pear drops.
  
  Meh. A balanced but also very generic white wine that tastes like an anonymous Italian white wine with rather soft acidity and bland, pear-drop driven primary fruit. The modest alcohol keeps the wine nicely drinkable, but otherwise there's really nothing that would speak of Valtellina or Nebbiolo - were this wine served to me blind, my guess would probably be a Pinot Grigio from Veneto. Quite boring and lacking distinction.
