THIS wine was enjoyed with friends on a saturday night sunset dining adventure and while I am not an expert on describing the tastes that can be smelled or fruits involved etc etc. I must say this is one of the MOST AWESOME WINES YOU WILL EVER DRINK, THIS WINE was purchased upon release back in 2018 for at the time a staggering price of $415.00. This is a top end LUXURY WINE as the WILLIAM COLE VINEYARDS limit production to 2 barrels and it is kept in barrels for 3 years; the vineyard does not release prices on their wines only avai to wine club members

Saturday get-together: Oh this is a round and fruity Cab that just says drink me now and love me for who I am. Don’t ask me to take your math test. Don’t ask me to recite Shakespeare. Just hold my hand, take me dancing, and tell me all the good things on earth in a Rom-Com kind of way that make me feel like I just binge watched When Harry Met Sally – Ok, I’m dating myself. Perhaps, it’s like binge watching Ted Lasso. Regardless, the jubilation of mixed berries, mountain earth, potpourri, and unicorn hugs make for a Skip to My Lou experience. It’s a solid Howell Mountain. What’s not to like?!
Thanks to AaronMaxwell for bringing this to the group. I was unfamiliar with this producer and was fortunate to have the opportunity to check it out

New friends, new wines in Novato: Incredible nose and would not have pegged this as Howell Mountain. This was a bit softer and less tannic and astringent as I would have expected from a mountain fruit location. I found that this was open for business now and a great find from Aaron who brought this wine to share.

An evening with good food, great people and amazing wine (Where the silence is longed for): The nose is very floral with aromas of red roses, buoyant deep red fruits with a touch of softness. On the palate was bright red fruits, a sheen of shiny minerals and some deep earth. Great acidity to this but might need some time to integrate and develop more, it was almost crossing the line of being too bright.

Fruit forward, bright, plush, and spiced. This wine is drinking great today, but will be even better as it settles down over the next 10 years.
