A very good Pinot that is made for food. Initial thoughts without food were that the wine was tart, overly cherry, mid weight, a bit clunky, and a nice finish. Once we added some food to the mix the wine showed excellent balance, smooth cherry and plum fruit, great acidity and that great finish. This should age nicely for a number of years.

Nose of prunes and generic berry jam. Full in the mouth, not complex but some height and good acid finish lasting 25 seconds. Very enjoyable with cannelloni.

Nice wine - great quality to price - good combo of earthiness and fruitiness - balanced - not outstanding but very good

Family Winemakers of California (Pasadena, CA): Muted aromas and little disjointed on the palate. Notes of strawberries, pomegranate, and raw beef.
