  • PnP, cork soaked 3/4. 11th from a case purchased on release. Not showing any age, still a light-medium straw, though it's gotten slightly duller (haven't we all?) with time. Under a canopy of mature petrol and wet rocks, there's a core of red and green apple fruit that would make Johnny Appleseed very happy. By the third glass, this medium bodied effort still manages good freshness, but it should also be stated that it was served at 13C, and alongside some homemade (read: DEFCON 5) chicken curry. On the drier, more mature side of Kabinett, with soft white peach and persimmon poking their noses out before it's all done. One left that I'll drink within the next 24 months, with no expectations it's getting better, just different. 9,5% abv, recommended

  • Pale toward straw colour with a gorgeous nose of peaches, apricots, schist, minerals and wet stone. On the palate, a lovely texture and popping, juicy acidity that washes the heft of this kabinett away with ease. One of my go-to Rieslings for several years now. Great balance and structure, approx $17.
