  • in the glass.... ruby red with a near translucent rim that has hints of orange

on the nose... tart red fruits, floral notes & herbs with a touch of saddle leather

on the palate... more red fruit (cranberry predominantly + tart raspberry), blood orange, leather & tobacco paired with a pleasant herbaceous quality & terrific mouth-watering acidity that flows into a medium/long finish.

Drink or Hold: ready to drink and I don't think it will improve much from where it's at. I have 2 more bottles left and doubt they will see the light of 2023.

    Fantastic wine... 93

  • had 3 bottles for Elena's b'day party and served with beef wellington and au gratin potatoes. I think I paid $35 for this on WineSlash and it's worth every penny. Decanted in a 2 liter Ehrlenmeyer flask which helped to bring out the bright red fruits. Terrific acidity and paired well with the dinner. Crowd favorite across the evening. I will prob order another case as this delivers terrific value at the mid-$30s price point.
