  Better than the previous bottle but this is just not to my taste and I have difficulty understanding whether it's a quality issue. Thick, opaque purple-red colour. Nose of cassis with some violets and perhaps a touch of rose; some roasted fruit aromas. Blackcurrant flavours, but leaning towards a little stewed fruit. Structure seems not to be able to stand up to the flavour. Herby (including some mint). A slightly metallic edge.

  Thick opaque reddish-purple. Nose of stewed black fruits with a hint of dampness that borders on unpleasant. Some fruit - dried fruit perhaps - comes through a bit more later. Not very pleasant taste. Over-ripe and over-extracted mixed red and black fruits, although when this gives way slightly there is some more inviting acidity. This is curious. is it wrong or badly out of balance? There are no tell-tale signs. Does it need time?
