  Consistent with my first bottle about a year ago: Medium ruby colour. Some reduction blew off with aeration. Red cherry, forest berries, forest notes, spice, liquorice, and smoky minerality, with fresh acidity, soft tannin, and very good length. Smoothly textured, balanced, and harmonious. Very fresh. So drinkable! 91(+)

Good red fruit, cherry, some dark berries, light forest notes, light spice, lightly smoky, slate-like mineral notes, with good acidity, ripe, soft tannin, and very good length. Medium-bodied, smoothly textured, balanced, and harmonious. Good tension and energy. Consistent on day two.
  
  Another beauty from Julia Bertram! Like the regular Dernauer Spätburgunder 2018 the Hardtberg makes you take sip after sip. The main differences between the two are that the Hardtberg has more depth and adds a savory aspect to the package and shows better integration at this young age. Lovely! Drink or hold. 91(+)
