Dark ruby red with pink-purple rim. Dark cherry, blackberry, black plum, raspberry, strawberry, tobacco, violet, herbs and spices. Medium-high acidity, silky medium-high tannin, and medium-full bodied. Complex and structured. Well-balanced and velvet on the palate.
Many guests picked this as the favorite bottle (out of 6) of the evening. We drank this Rully Maizières together with the regular Rully. The Maizières is a little more concentrated, edgy and sharper than the regular Rully. Both bottles were wonderful.

Bit of reduction initially but with an hour of air it was gone. Plenty of red fruit and berry, but there’s also some darker notes and an underlying spice. Will age well. Lovely red Burgundy for the price.

Drank this early in the year and this is starting to open up nicely. Red cherry, strawberries and plums. A little oak and spice on the nose. The palate is still young but the tannins have softened to give way to an incredible depth and that is not often seen in Rully wines. It is usually about the bright red fruits, but this is serious stuff and at only £31.50 @laywheeler for a #premiercru #burgundy an absolute delight. So much so we drank 2 bottles, or maybe 3 88 points

Agree with past notes - big cherry and strawberry presence. Very floral and expressive on the nose. Great QPR. Wish I had more.
