This is now my husbands favorite Chardonnay. He likes a big oak driven Chardonnay and this did not disappoint. Sadly we could only order one bottle in our wine club shipment.

Starts off with a very dark golden color. On the palate we get a Chablis like sharp, austere minerality that is often also found in Northern Michigan. Relatively light viscosity. As it warms in the glass a soft but quite credible oak influence reveals a welcome buttery, vanilla character. Even a gritty nutty feeling that shows it has the depth and character to age a while.
