Yes there's bubbles, but this tasted more like a regular rose than a sparkling wine of any kind. The familiar profile of light red fruit and some acidity.

Retail $24. 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc. Well, happily, this bottle more closely resembles the first bottle I opened of this wine rather than the last two. One more bottle to go, fingers crossed. Similar notes.
Unfortunately, this third bottle more closely resembled the second bottle than the first. Oh well, a couple more to go, hopefully there will be an uptick with those.
Retail $24. 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc. While my love for Nino Franco will likely never wain, I am slightly less enthralled with this bottle than I was the first. Sure, all the fruit is there (plenty of red and some black), but there is a bit lacking this time. Plenty of tartness, all that fruit, and a pretty solid level of acidity. So what's missing? I don't know for sure, but the "verve factor" seems to be in absentia tonight.

Retail $24. 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc. Back to the previous. Lacking sparkle and verve. Still, Very Good. 89 Points.
