Further to my note of March 18 '21: This was another tasty bottle of more prominent, rich red fruit and more subdued oak. Enjoyed as a byob at a local sidewalk bistro. At least Notable.
Further to my Note of Aug 22 '20: This has improved with some time in the cool, dark basement: less sweet and oaky with a rich BBQ meatloaf--not Bdx but more restrained with a bit more complexity. Notable might be conservative, but we'll see. Note after 24h and 48h: sweet and oaky emerged over time, drinkable but less appealing.

Bought several from a local eclectic independent shop recently for 10/b; this is #1. Purple; fragrant redcurrant nose with oak that follows on the palate, a bit sweet, good mouthfeel. Tasty, though a bit overoaked. Will work well as an everyday CS. Stored vertically (synthetic cork) in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: For me, scores on a "100-point scale" are misleading. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. This is notable when considering quality, age, and price.

Very nice. Restrained for CA, and some complexity.

Great QBR. good full bodied cab with a mellow approach. soft edges, but with the right balance of tannins. round and satisfying.
